Pax8 has added threat protection and content filtering software from DNSFilter to its growing catalog of security solutions.
The new alliance will give MSPs an additional option in a crucial security market segment, according to Nikki Meyer, the distributor’s corporate vice president of vendor alliances.
“Security is top of mind for Pax8 and every MSP and their clients, as attacks continue to wreak havoc on every industry at alarming rates,” said Meyer in a press statement. “We’re thrilled to add the monitoring and filtering capabilities of DNSFilter to the security offerings provided by Pax8. This will empower our partners to provide critical security protection to their customers.”
Designed to be ready for use in minutes at an SMB-scaled price, DNSFilter’s core solution draws on machine learning-based data from Webshrinker, its DNS categorization subsidiary, to keep end users away from adult websites, streaming media services, and other banned or dangerous domains.
The solution, which runs on a global network spanning 75 data centers, integrates with Azure Active Directory and comes with roaming client software for Windows, Mac, Chrome, iOS, and Android devices. The system offers multitenant management and a variety of ad hoc and scheduled reports. According to DNSFilter, it’s currently used by over 2 million end users at more than 15,000 organizations.
“We’re bringing together the Pax8 Marketplace for ease of procurement, along with the easy-to-deploy DNSFilter platform,” said DNSFilter COO Colin Britton in prepared remarks. “Not only is Pax8 one of the top distribution channels in the MSP market, but they actually understand how MSPs want to do business. That’s why we’re thrilled to be a Pax8 partner.”
DNSFilter has been offering integrated web filtering to users of N-able’s N-central RMM and N-sight RMM since 2021. It’s the latest addition to a lineup of DNS protection vendors on the Pax8 line card that includes TitanHQ and OpenText unit Webroot.
Other additions to Pax8’s security vendor roster in the last year include WatchGuard, Avanan, and Nord Security.
Last August, Pax8 became the first distributor to offer QuickBooks Online, Intuit’s popular cloud-based financial management solution, a milestone that landed it a spot among ChannelPro‘s All-Star Award winners for 2022.
The global DNS security market will grow at an 8.4% CAGR in the next decade from a projected $1.39 billion this year to $3.12 billion in 2033, according to Future Market Insights.
