Infrastructure-as-a-service and cloud hosting provider Hostway Corp. is now offering Windows Web Server with the Microsoft WebMatrix free of charge for the first three months of any new managed hosting solution for SMBs.
“Having worked with the developer, start-up and SMB marketplaces for the last 13 years, Hostway understands that the lack of an easy-to-use development toolkit and cost-effective hosting solutions often prevent a great idea from becoming a revenue-generating business operation,” says Hostway in a statement submitted to Channel Pro-SMB. For this reason, the company states, new solutions from Microsoft can provide “up to $4,000 to overcome these hurdles and immediately grow business.”
The free Web Server/WebMatrix offering is available to all Hostway prospects that implement a Windows-based server.

The free WebMatrix toolkit is designed to make development and launch simple, giving SMB users the choice of starting from open source Web applications, built-in templates, or by writing their own code.
The all-inclusive suite installs in minutes and incorporates a Web server, database (with support for MySQL and Microsoft SQL), and programming frameworks. It presents integration with WordPress, Joomla!, Drupal, Umbraco and others to provide a single, unified environment for rapid development and launch.
