Continuum has introduced a new cloud-to-cloud BDR solution for data in software-as-a-service applications.
Called Recover for SaaS, the new product is designed to provide comprehensive protection for Microsoft Office 365, Google G Suite, and Salesforce environments.
“End-clients are moving their data to SaaS platforms but their backup options have yet to catch up,” said David LeClair, senior director of product management at Continuum, in a press statement. “Recover For SaaS gives Continuum partners the ability to match the backup and disaster recovery capabilities of their on-premises solutions in the cloud. That means they can continue providing best-in-class BDR to their clients no matter where their data resides.”
The new solution backs up Outlook mailboxes, calendars, contacts, and tasks; SharePoint sites, including lists and permissions; OneDrive repositories; and Microsoft Teams deployments. G Suite protection spans from Gmail to Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Team Drive, Google Sites, and beyond. Backup features for Salesforce cover accounts, contacts, leads, opportunities, activities, and more.
The GDPR- and HIPAA-compliant system encrypts everything it protects both in transit and at rest in its U.S., EMEA, and Australia hosting sites.
According to Continuum, the system’s three-step setup process is designed to turn SaaS backup into a set-and-forget process. Users can retain unlimited quantities of information for as little as 30 days or as much as multiple years, and customize retention periods by source application and data type.
Recover For SaaS is the newest addition to Continuum Recover, Continuum’s recently rebranded BDR solution. Other components of that offering include Recover For Continuity and Recover For Backup, which provide business continuity and block-level backup functionality, respectively.
Continuum recently discussed plans to add further protection for Office 365 environments to its Continuum Fortify security solution.
