Data protection vendor†StorageCraft Technology Corp., of Draper, Utah, has added cloud pooling, one-click orchestrated recovery, and free 30-day virtualized infrastructure replication to its†Disaster Recovery as a Service for Managed Service Providers solution.
The new cloud pooling feature, which utilizes†StorageCraft Cloud Services to aggregate†allotted data storage for multiple machines at the same service level,†is designed to give MSPs efficiency and flexibility while sparing them the cost of unplanned overages.
The one-click orchestrated recovery feature lets MSPs use the†StorageCraft Cloud Services web portal to†pre-configure each customer’s recovery sequence, ensuring†that the right servers, directories, and files come back online to the right recovery point at the right time with a single click. According to StorageCraft, the new functionality helps MSPs better meet recovery point objective and SLA commitments by getting customers up and running within minutes of a disaster rather than hours or days.
Utilizing the new 30-day free infrastructure virtualization, MSPs can†replicate a customer’s IT environment into the StorageCraft Cloud after a sitewide disaster, accelerating†data recovery across virtual, physical, and cloud environments.
“StorageCraft Cloud Services has been hugely successful since becoming available in 2014,” said Hugo Parra, senior director of product management at StorageCraft, in prepared remarks. “The number of servers protected by StorageCraft Cloud Services increased by almost 300% YoY in 2017. Our MSP community is reaping the benefits of purpose-built business continuity cloud services. They are able to offer a superior alternative to public cloud in terms of self-serve failover orchestration, all-inclusive virtualization and recovery costs, and clear, predictable SLAs. This high-value low-touch model boosts partners’ margins, addressable market, and ability to meet customers’ most stringent requirements while keeping maintenance and operation costs to a minimum.”
StorageCraft shipped a scale-out storage solution for K-12 school districts, colleges, and universities last month and new integrations with managed services software from ConnectWise and Datto Inc.’s Autotask unit in June.
