The Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference is going on all week, July 12 to 16, in Orlando, at the Orange County Convention Center. Pre-day registration and the Commons Expo opened Sunday. Vision keynotes on Monday and Wednesday will be streamed live.†
Featured Microsoft speakers include CEO Satya Nadella, COO Kevin Turner, and Phil Sorgen, corporate vice president, World Wide Partner Group.†
Other featured speakers include Tommy Caldwell and Kevin Jorgeson from the Dawn Wall Project, who completed the first free ascent of the Dawn Wall on El Capitan in Yosemite in January of 2015; Angee Linsey, managing director of Linsey Careers; Kris Plachy, CEO and executive coach, Leadership Coach Inc.; John Rudow, president, the Rudow Group; and Matthias Schranner, CEO Negotiation Institute Zurich.†
New this year are General Sessions delivered by senior Microsoft executives and other industry leaders that are tailored to business segment, product family, and/or partner type. Executive speakers will share their vision around the challenges partners are facing and solutions to meet the needs of partners’ customers. Session categories include leadership, cloud and enterprise, cloud resellers, enterprise partners, Office 365, Skype for business, the Windows 10 opportunity, and more.†
WPC also is featuring panels, workshops, breakout sessions, immersive sections, expo sessions, social hub, partner sponsor theatre, and regional general sessions. Technical tracks fall into four categories: innovate, engage, transform, and lead.†
The Commons is where partners can engage with peers and Microsoft subject matter experts alike. Partners can also interact with peers and company representatives from around the globe in dedicated regional lounges.†
