Where Partnership Means Power: News from TD SYNNEX’s Inspire 2023

At Inspire 2023, a panel of TD SYNNEX leaders highlighted the growth of AI, robust security solutions, and expanding partnerships to support resellers.

On the second day of Inspire 2023 in Greenville, SC, TD SYNNEX Executive Vice President, Sales Steven Jow took the microphone to introduce his sales executives to attendees. First, he warned the crowd they would hear “AI” about fifty million times during the conference. That set the stage for a series of in-depth updates on partnership efforts led by the global technology distributor and solutions aggregator.

Each sales group leader explained how his or her group helps reseller partners leverage available resources to better service their own customers. First up was Brenna Farahvashi, vice president, of inside sales, enterprise & mid-market. Her group works with about 1,500 of TD SYNNEX’s top reseller partners. She shared that K-12 sales have been hot this summer, and expects a big uptick in refresh business in 2024.

Mark McClure, senior vice president enterprise and mid-market sales, reminded the crowd that the partners who are growing are the ones working closely with TD SYNNEX to share growth and strategies. He highlighted Destination AI, which saw a 625% increase in AI-enabled solution sales so far in 2023. Beyond that, security, “is now recession-proof. It’s absolutely critical to have it,” said LeFleur.

John Phillips, senior vice president, SMB and MSP sales, spoke next. His team works with about 14,000 SMB resellers, and accounted for 17% of company-wide ServiceSolv business in Q3 this year. He touted World of Inspiration, the virtual demo lab with multi-vendor solutions showcased in authentic environments. He added that security was definitely the largest growing area for managed services partners.

While many might think national integrators have their services projects well in hand, John Bolger, senior vice president, sales national accounts, said more and more are leaning on ServiceSolv to fill gaps in their coverage. They’re also pushing TD SYNNEX deeper into supply chain support, all the way to the end customer at times.

Areas many partners overlook, said Eddie Franklin, senior vice president public sector sales, are local, state, and federal government projects. “About 85% of public sector revenue is driven by our partners,” said Franklin. TD SYNNEX is pre-certifying to be a Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) level 1 provider. This is an exciting opportunity, according to Franklin, because he expects education technology to grow 6-8% domestically, and double digits globally. A third of the reseller attendees at Inspire 2023 are small and diverse businesses, per Franklin, so his group started a newsletter with a specialized training curriculum for those partners.

Jow took the stage again to share that TD SYNNEX’s IT ecosystem partner group, CommunitySolv, is now over 1,000 members and is growing by more than 12% annually. He he concluded the conversation by promising all sales groups at TD SYNNEX will help partners gain the capabilities they need, “for wherever they are today, and where they plan to be tomorrow.”
