The TechSelect Fall Partner Conference is taking place this week in Orlando, Fla., October 18 to 21. This semi-annual conference for Tech Data Corp.’s partners is being hosted at the Loews Sapphire Falls Resort at Universal Orlando Resort. TechSelect Partner Conferences offer the opportunity for TechSelect community members to engage with their peers and TechSelect vendor sponsors.
Marty Bauerlein, SVP US Sales, Tech Data, delivered the opening keynote on Tuesday afternoon, “Community at the Center of the Opportunity.”
He introduced Joe Quaglia, president, Americas, Tech Data, who talked about the acquisition of Avnet’s Technology Solutions unit. He said partners are excited about the Tech Data growth with the purchase, which takes the distributor from a $26 billion compnay to a $35 billion company, and gives end-to-end solutions from living room to data center.
Quaglia also told the audience that the company is continuing its focus on broadline, data center, and value-added services, and grew better than the market in each of those categories.
The conference continues for the next two days, with vendor breakout sessions and business pillar sessions.
