Tech Data Corp. has introduced a new portfolio of end-to-end, “click-to-run” cloud solutions.
Called the Cloud Solutions Factory and available immediately, the new offering features options for a range of business outcomes such as managing data efficiently, improving employee performance, and meeting compliance requirements. It’s built around solutions for core infrastructure, data protection, Internet of Things, and other use cases that are designed to save channel partners money and reduce their implementation risk and time to market by simplifying the often time-consuming, hands-on process of weaving together software and services from multiple suppliers.
“In launching Cloud Solutions Factory, our focus has been on enabling our partners to deliver business outcomes with solutions that are immediately ready to deploy,” said Sergio Farache, senior vice president for strategy, innovation, cloud, and M&A at Tech Data, in a press statement. “Cloud solution design and implementation can be a complex and lengthy process, so all our offerings are pre-configured, validated and tested, and deployments are monitored by Tech Data. The result is a suite of reliable solutions that help our partners reduce costs, maximize efficiency and drive competitive differentiation.”
Products in the Tech Data Cloud Solutions Factory include pre-integrated licenses, services, and other essential components from third-party vendors.
“By working with industry-leading cloud providers, we have built a portfolio of integrated, packaged solutions that can be easily and quickly configured, customized and deployed by our partners,” Farache said in prepared remarks. “These best-in-class providers are selected based on how well they align with the high-demand workloads needed by today’s businesses, and they must also meet specific requirements designed to protect our partners and deliver maximum value to them.”
At present, those providers include Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, Red Hat, NetApp, Veeam, and Autodesk, among others. Tech Data plans to add more in the future.
Fees for all offerings in the Cloud Solutions Factory are levied on a pay-per-use basis. Partners order them through Tech Data’s StreamOne cloud marketplace.
Bundled solutions have been a point of emphasis for Tech Data in recent months. Last October, the company partnered with Cisco on a set of pre-assembled networking, security, and collaboration solutions for small office environments.
