Cloud communication and collaboration provider Intermedia has added a provisioning wizard to Unite, its flagship unified communications-as-a-service (UCaaS) solution.
Introduced in February, Unite combines VoIP services and a cloud PBX platform with screen sharing, webinar, and high-definition videoconferencing functionality. Its new provisioning wizard is designed to streamline and accelerate account creation by walking partners step-by-step through the setup and activation process. The system lets partners turn a quote into an order, set up customer locations, assign phone numbers, configure users, and place orders for phones via all in one place.
“By better enabling partners to sell, provision, install, and support Intermedia Unite, we help shorten the time from closing the deal to enabling the service for customers,” said Mark Sher, vice president of unified communications product and marketing at Mountain View, Calif.-based Intermedia, in prepared remarks. “Partners can deliver a service to their customers that helps increase mobility, productivity, and collaboration, using a new provisioning wizard that allows partners to spend less time on set-up and activation—and more time on creating and closing deals and other revenue-generating activities.”
Together with its cloud PBX, SIP trunking, and other voice and UC solutions, Unite will account for roughly half of Intermedia’s revenue by the end of this year, according to an interview with ChannelPro two months ago. As of that date, roughly a third of the vendor’s more than 6,000 partners sold either Unite or another voice or UC product.
Over 43 million people use UCaaS solutions globally at present, according to Frost & Sullivan, which expects net new users to grow at a 23 percent CAGR from 2016 to 2023.
