ConnectWise has officially launched ConnectWise Unite, the consolidated cloud management system it introduced last November.
The announcement was made today at the Tampa, Fla.-based managed services software vendor’s IT Nation Europe event, which is now taking place in London.
Designed to give MSPs a single interface for provisioning, monitoring, managing, and billing for software- and infrastructure-as-a-service solutions, ConnectWise Unite is both based on and replaces CloudConsole, an earlier ConnectWise solution for administering Microsoft cloud products. The newer system had been available to a limited set of users only as a pilot product until today.
“Technology teams typically take advantage of a broad range of cloud solutions to meet their customers’ unique needs,” said ConnectWise CEO Arnie Bellini in a press statement. “What we’ve done with ConnectWise Unite is give our partners the ability to access these disparate solutions from a single pane of glass and greatly simplify the complexity that comes from dealing with the growing number of solutions they use.”
Though the system currently supports Cisco Meraki, Cisco Spark, Cisco Stealthwatch Cloud, Cisco Umbrella, and Microsoft Office 365, as well as the Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure public clouds, ConnectWise eventually wants it to serve as a centralized point of control for most of the cloud-based systems technology service providers sell to their customers.
“We believe in a completely open ecosystem that offers technology teams choices in how they meet the unique needs of their customers, so we understand that teams need a tool to help them efficiently manage all their solutions,” Bellini said in today’s press release. “ConnectWise Unite does just this and returns to our partners the time they need to focus on providing their customers with great support and growing their businesses.”
Also at IT Nation Europe today, Bellini revealed that the ConnectWise Advanced Security Dashboard, a new offering unveiled by Cisco Systems Inc., of San Jose, Calif., at the RSA Conference in San Francisco this week, will enter piloting with select Cisco partners next month.
Aimed at enabling channel pros to deliver managed security services based on Cisco’s Advanced Malware Protection for Endpoints, Umbrella, and Stealthwatch Cloud solutions, as well as its Adaptive Security Appliances, Next-Generation Firewall, and Cisco Meraki MX appliances, the ConnectWise Advanced Security Dashboard integrates directly with the ConnectWise Manage PSA system. According to ConnectWise, it will give Cisco partners centralized oversight of endpoint, network, edge, and application security offerings, as well as testing and reporting tools, through a single pane of glass.
The new system is currently scheduled to enter general availability in September.
IT Nation Europe concludes on Friday. Earlier this year, ConnectWise revealed that the 2018 U.S, edition of IT Nation would focus on business development content, rather than technical material, and that a set of ConnectWise competitors formerly banned from the conference would be welcome to attend this year.
