Bitdefender, a global cybersecurity technology company, has unveiled three new products designed to let managed service providers tap rapidly swelling demand for advanced threat prevention, detection, investigation and response services.
The latest additions to Bitdefender’s MSP Security Suite add functionality for patch management, advanced threat security, and endpoint detection and response. The new offerings are optional and available with monthly usage-based licensing for MSPs via the same multi-tenant cloud console partners use to administer other Bitdefender offerings. From this single pane of glass, MSPs can now deploy and manage the new products along with antivirus/antimalware protection, content control, device control, Microsoft Exchange security, full disk encryption, virtualization, and cloud security.
“Organizations demand comprehensive next-gen layered security that can help them combat increasingly sophisticated ransomware, Zero-day, fileless and hacking attacks. Bitdefender MSP Security Suite is designed to meet this demand,” said Jose Lopez, Vice President of Global Sales, Service Providers and Technology Licensing for Bitdefender, in a press statement. “With the new tunable machine learning, detection, investigation, and response capabilities, MSPs and MSSPs can now add specialized security services to address the needs of companies that are highly sensitive about their data and concerned about advanced or targeted attacks.”
Instead of stacking up solutions with different management consoles and agents, Bitdefender contends, it provides MSPs a unified point of control and a single agent.
The new services, include:
Patch Management, which reduces patching efforts and costs, offers a single source of patching with databases of Windows and third-party applications. Patches can be applied automatically to all devices anywhere, both on-site and at remote locations, reducing the window of opportunity for attackers to exploit vulnerable applications.
Advanced Threat Security, includes HyperDetect which is designed to block attacks at pre-execution with tunable machine learning capabilities and Sandbox Analyzer for enhanced targeted attack detection. It protects against fileless attacks, PowerShell and other script attacks, and delivers improved threat context and visibility.
Endpoint Detection and Response, correlates information from different sensors, looks for anomalous behavior and offers clear visibility into indicators of compromise (IOCs) and one-click threat investigation and incident response workflows. This enables service providers to meet customer demands and grow with managed detection and response services.
Bitdefender announced the integration of its GravityZone cloud workload protection platform hyperconverged infrastructure vendor Nutanix’s AHV hypervisor last month. In May, it reported an agreement to embed its anti-malware services in the ZyWALL line of security appliances from Zyxel Communications.
