Barracuda Networks has released a new analytics solution designed to provide dynamic information on SD-WAN connections, transport data, security, and both web and network traffic based on data collected from firewalls.
Called Barracuda Firewall Insights, the system aggregates and reports on application, security, and connectivity telemetry from hundreds or potentially thousands of Barracuda CloudGen Firewalls, automating what is otherwise often a time-consuming manual process.
“By automating the complex processes of consolidating and analyzing the vast amount of data available across an extended WAN, Barracuda Firewall Insights helps IT administrators save time while making it easy to keep their systems optimized and secure,” said Klaus Gheri, vice president of network security for Barracuda, in a press statement. “We want to help customers streamline network management and security operations.”
The new system is compatible with physical and virtual firewalls, as well as devices hosted in Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. Users can customize reports for specific timeframes and view data on either all or a subset of their firewall hardware.
In January, Barracuda introduced a new system designed to help businesses investigate and remediate email-based attacks that exploit stolen user credentials or social engineering tactics rather than malware, attachments, and malicious links to bypass traditional security safeguards.
