Zomentum Adds Four Security Assessments to Sales Acceleration Platform

The new tools are designed to help MSPs identify revenue-generating opportunities to close compliance gaps with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CISA’s Cyber Essentials standard, GDPR, and Australia’s Essential Eight controls.

Sales management and automation vendor Zomentum has made four additions to its library of IT assessment tools for MSPs.

The new resources are designed to help channel pros measure end user compliance with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, the Cybersecurity Infrastructure and Security Agency’s Cyber Essentials standard for small businesses and local government agencies, the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the Australian Cyber Security Centre’s Essential Eight controls. MSPs can embed data collected by the freshly released tools in client recommendation reports aimed at producing new sales proposals and revenue.

“We’re continually expanding the capabilities of the Zomentum platform to focus on growing revenue by creating efficiencies, stemming loss and uncovering new opportunities,” said Zomentum Product Manager Ben Spector in a media statement. “We’ve integrated standards-based assessment templates within the platform that technology partners can use to generate new revenue streams by assisting their customers to comply with regulatory frameworks.”

Zomentum’s latest wave of assessments follows the introduction of earlier tools for Microsoft 365 in January and the Center for Internet Security’s recommended controls last November. The company plans to add assessments for HIPAA, ISO 27001, and SOC2, among other standards, in the future.

Like Zomentum, Choice CyberSecurity, Kaseya, and many other vendors see great promise in compliance-focused managed service offerings. Some 75% of MSPs worldwide agree that meeting compliance obligations is currently a struggle for their clients, and 53% strongly agree, according to Kaseya’s 2022 Global MSP Benchmark Survey Report. Nearly 75% of respondents to that survey either provide or are preparing to provide compliance services to their customers.

Global spending on governance, risk, and compliance solutions will reach $15.2 billion in 2025, according to IDC.

The most recent addition to the Zomentum platform prior to today was a billing reconciliation solution called Zomentum Connect that reached market two weeks ago. Based on technology the company acquired along with reconciliation and license management vendor Goolash in January, and available in a “free-forever” edition as well as three paid subscription plans with more features, that solution is designed to automate the often painful process of determining how much customers should be invoiced each month for the SaaS applications they use.

Zomentum rolled out integrations with payments vendor Connect Booster and the Tech Tribe MSP community last year as well.
