Intel today announced IntelÆ XDK NEW, the next generation of HTML5 cross-platform app development tools from Intel that help enable developers to shorten time from idea to app store. Enhancements include a streamlined workflow, a new integrated editor designed specifically for HTML5, a new round-trip UI-builder tool that simplifies responsive design, and expanded API support. With Intel XDK NEW, developers can more easily create Android, iOS, Microsoft Windows 8, and Tizen store-ready apps. A preview release of Intel XDK NEW is available for free download now for Windows at http://software.intel.com/html5. General availability is mid-Q4 for Windows, OS X, and Linux.
