OSIsoft Launches Global Value Added Reseller Program to Expand Solutions for Digital Transformation

LYNX, Electro Controles del Noroeste (ECN), and ATIsoft will bundle and sell the PI System with Value Added Services and Products in Latin America on a subscription basis. More Value Added Resellers (VARs) to be announced in Europe and Asia in the coming months.

OSIsoft LLC, a global leader in operational intelligence, unveiled a Value Added Reseller (VAR) Program to accelerate the development of solutions for digital transformation and the Industrial Internet of Things.

Under the program, qualifying resellers will be able to combine their technology and services with the PI System OSIsoft to create solutions for managing or optimizing operations at utilities, oil refineries, manufacturing plants, and other industrial facilities. The VAR program is open to existing OSIsoft system integrators and technology or Independent Software Vendor (ISV) partners.

Approved VARs in the program can also sell the PI System on a subscription basis with their own solution and services in defined industries or territories. OSIsoft will begin working with Latin American system integrators ECN, ATIsoft and LYNX – additional VARs in Europe and Asia will be announced in the coming months.

“For ATIsoft, the VAR program represents a new framework to generate purpose-built solutions for our customers, now under a subscription model. This program has provided us with the opportunity and the tools to approach the market in new and innovative ways,” said Alfonso D√°vila, CEO of ATIsoft, a participating VAR.

The VAR program is an extension of†OSIsoft Partner EcoSphere, OSIsoft’s marketplace for solutions, technologies, and services that leverage the power of PI System. Over 200 partners, from Fortune 500 hardware manufacturers to start-ups, participate in EcoSphere with offerings ranging from advanced analytics to strategies for IIoT deployment.

“We’re at the start of a massive wave of innovation in the industrial economy. The idea behind the VAR Program is to give select partners the tools and programs they need to develop solutions for vertical markets, customer segments or geographies,” said Mary McDonald, Vice President Global Channel and Strategic Partners at OSIsoft. “We want to fuel their creativity by allowing them to more easily integrate the PI System into their products and business strategies to serve our mutual customers.”

The initial participants in the VAR program are:

-ECN, a system integrator in northern Mexico that has created Suite Met, a software suite for the metals and mining industry. Suite Met includes modules that use data from the PI System to simulate milling load composition, analyze metallurgical recovery across different ores, and a multiple linear regression tool for better understanding the relationship between different variables.

-ATISoft, a system integrator in Mexico City with a specialty in GIS and business process optimization. ATISoft’s cloud-based service GeoMAPEX collects RFID data from equipment, tools, and workers and provides location-based visualizations.

-LYNX, a system integrator that has participated in over 600 major operational projects, will deliver integration services and products for yard management, fleet management, tracking, anti-collision and loop control. LYNX has already worked on projects with OSIsoft for Pacasmayo, Rumo, Femsa, Biodiesel, Apodi, and Novelis Guarani.

The PI System: Insight into Operations on Demand

OSIsoft’s PI System transforms the vast data streams from sensors, plant equipment, and other devices into rich, real-time insights to help people improve productivity, save money and make better, more informed decisions. The PI System can be found inside wind farms, national labs, rail networks, manufacturing facilities, over 1,000 leading utilities and 90% of the world’s largest oil and gas companies. Worldwide, over 2 billion sensor-based data streams are managed by the PI System.
