ThousandEyes, the company that empowers businesses with Network Intelligence, has announced†RingCentral, a leading provider of global enterprise cloud communications and collaboration solutions, has selected ThousandEyes as part of its strategic business initiative to enhance digital experiences for its customers. Using ThousandEyes’ Network Intelligence platform, RingCentral can improve overall service quality, enabling a superior communications experience for customers.
With business customers in more than 80 countries, RingCentral’s industry-leading cloud communications solution allows customers to unify voice, video meetings, team messaging and integrated contact center capabilities in a single platform. Given the global nature of their customer base and infrastructure, plus the inherently variable nature of the Internet, keeping a pulse on customer experience is critical in helping RingCentral deliver world-class cloud communications services. RingCentral is using ThousandEyes to identify how external service providers impact their global anycast network, allowing them to proactively seek resolution of any potential customer connectivity issues before they are affected. RingCentral is also leveraging ThousandEyes to benchmark performance and proactively identify opportunities for application and service performance improvements through historical data collection of performance metrics using ThousandEyes APIs.
“At RingCentral, our top priority is delivering best-in-class cloud communications solutions that enable today’s modern workforce to connect and collaborate from anywhere, on any device. We are consistently investing in ways to enhance user experiences, and quality of the service is a key enabler,” said Ashu Varshney, VP of Cloud Service Operations at RingCentral. “ThousandEyes gives us insight into network dependencies outside our network perimeter, enabling us to proactively address issues before they affect customers.”
RingCentral is leveraging ThousandEyes’ ability to proactively measure performance characteristics of each component of its comprehensive cloud communications offering, like SIP response times, API availability, anycast routing, network latency, jitter, and packet loss. This includes tests against their cloud services delivered provisioning portal, soft phone APIs, Session Border Controller availability and response times among other tests.
“As the leader in enterprise cloud communications, RingCentral is committed to providing its customers with unparalleled quality of service. Having end-to-end visibility across the entire digital experience delivery chain — including the Internet, cloud provider networks, corporate networks and all the way to endpoint devices — is critical to delivering on that promise,” said Mohit Lad, co-founder and CEO of ThousandEyes.†“We’re pleased to provide such a mission-critical Network Intelligence platform to RingCentral that helps them improve overall service quality for their customers’ cloud-based communications.”
