Zyxel Communications, a leading provider of secure broadband networking, Internet access, and connected home products, announced the addition of new key management features and six new enterprise-class access points to its award-winning, highly-scalable†Nebula Cloud Network Management Solution. The new additions optimize the performance and enhance the versatility of the industry’s only complete cloud-managed network solution for SMBs and MSPs.
Zyxel launched the latest version of Nebula, a powerful cloud-based network management system that supports a growing portfolio of Nebula and NebulaFlex access points, managed switches, firewalls, and security gateways. Two new features provided in the updated system include:
- Wireless Health Monitor:†Enables network administrators to automatically and continuously monitor and analyze the performance of connected Nebula and NebulaFlex access points. Nebula’s monitoring feature works behind the scenes to identify and optimize underperforming access points to maximize network performance and reduce maintenance costs.
- Facebook WiFi:†The integration of Facebook WiFi into Nebula’s captive portal enables guests to easily access free WiFi by checking into the location using their Facebook accounts. Each time a customer checks in the business is identified on the customer’s Facebook news feed, providing valuable opportunities to increase business through visibility and engagements with new and existing customers.
Zyxel also announced the addition of six enterprise-class 802.11ac indoor and outdoor access points to the portfolio of high-performance NebulaFlex Pro products. The versatile WAC6100 and WAC6500 series access points can be deployed in standalone mode, managed with a WLAN controller, or managed in a Nebula cloud-managed network. Each of the new NebulaFlex Pro access points comes with a one-year Professional Pack license enabling them to be cloud-managed using the Nebula solution.
“This major update to our Nebula solution takes network management to the next level and provides valuable new cost-saving and revenue-generating possibilities for SMBs and MSPs,” explained David Soares, Vice President of North American Sales at Zyxel. “The ability to monitor, identify and automatically resolve underlying problems with access points optimizes the performance of the network and reduces service calls. The addition of Facebook WiFi to the captive portal enables businesses to turn their free public WiFi access into a revenue-generating marketing tool.”
