PlumChoice Enables VARs to Brand Remote Tech Support
VARs can now create a custom Web site through which to offer services.
Since it announced its partnership with Intel at CES in January, Billerica, Mass.-based PlumChoice Online PC Services has been developing a way for SMB VARs to offer and market premium technology services to their customers. By leveraging the out-of-band capabilities of Intel’s vPro technology, later this month the company will unveil a new offering that enables Intel VARs to create a custom Web site through which they can provide PlumChoice/Intel Premium Tech Support under their own brand.
Since Intel’s vPro chip is embedded in many of the computers that the Intel VARs sell, PlumChoice–through its SAFElink platform–can now offer Premium Tech Support services such as remotely repairing a PC, even when the user experiences “the blue screen of death,” according to PlumChoice.
“VARs need a way to service their customers 24×7–for all types of computer and CE devices,” says Fred King, vice president of sales and marketing at PlumChoice. “The Intel Remote PC Assist technology, combined with the PlumChoice SAFElink platform and service, will give VARs the gold standard in premium technical support. There is no other offering like it in the market today.”
