FaxBack Seeks to Provide Affordable VoIP Fax Capabilities
Partnership program supplies certified plug-in for employing Microsoft Fax in a voice-over-IP scenario.
FaxBack, a provider of VoIP fax server solutions for SMBs, has announced a new partner program designed to help telecom equipment makers and service providers add Microsoft Fax capabilities into their VoIP telecom offerings–for free.
Microsoft Fax, which is included in the business versions of the Windows operating system, is one of the simplest and most widely-available fax clients in the industry. Until FaxBack released its certified VoIP plug in, Microsoft’s analog fax technology required users to connect to a PBX via modem. But now, FaxBack’s VoIP plug-in brings Microsoft’s fax client into the VoIP realm.
FaxBack’s Microsoft Fax Partner Program is targeted towards three segments of the IP communications industry:
- Media Gateway providers
- IP-PBX providers
- VoIP service providers and carriers
For end users that require more advanced functionality, FaxBack has also introduced a migration path to NET SatisFAXtion VoIP Fax Server offering.
“We’re giving away our Microsoft Fax VoIP Plug-in to partners targeting the SMB space that are interested in adding a free and convenient fax solution into their offerings,” says Brian Keep, director of marketing for FaxBack.
