Kofax Upgrades Its Transformation Modules
Version 5 adds the extraction of cursive handwriting to its classification, sorting, and separation features.
Business documentation processes developer Kofax introduced the latest version of its Transformation Modules this week.
Transformation Modules Version 5 automates the classification, sorting, and separation of paper and electronic forms and documents. They also extract and validate information as they process it.
Kofax Transformation Modules 5.0 adds browser-based character correction to online validation through new thin client keying modules, folder support, and batch editing. The new release also enables the extraction of cursive handwriting from such unstructured documents as letters and notes.
According to Kofax, Version 5.0 features enhanced processing capabilities and improved data validation and recognition. Moreover, the company says the single, unified platform “significantly increases speed, accuracy, and throughput for high-volume document processing.”
“Kofax Transformation Modules 5.0 enable SMBs to manage their document processing requirements faster, more accurately, and at significantly reduced costs,” states Kofax executive vice president of products Jim Nicol in press release to EH Publishing.
Nicol explains that Kofax Transformation Modules 5.0 include support for enterprise class server hardware with adaptive multi-core processing capabilities. The new version also offers automatic batch restructuring and single document routing capabilities
