Diskeeper Upgrades and Releases New DPAN Version
The Disk Performance Analyzer for Networks freeware upgrade includes improved support for Windows 7 and Windows 2008 Server R2.
Diskeeper Corp. has updated and released a new version of its freeware product, Disk Performance Analyzer for Networks (DPAN).
DPAN 3.0 is a free utility for IT professionals managing Windows networks. It is designed to aid administrators in making systems faster, more reliable, and longer lasting. Specifically, it enables administrators to detect fragmentation on the computers across networks.
“Once Disk Performance Analyzer has been used to evaluate the level of fragmentation on the computers in a network,” states Diskeeper Corp. in a press release submitted to EH Publishing, “administrators can utilize additional Diskeeper products to defragment and prevent future fragmentation.
The DPAN 3.0 feature set was already included in Diskeeper Administrator 2010 release, but is now available independently (and free).†
DPAN 3.0 features:
- Support for Windows 7 and Windows 2008 Server R2
- Support for 64-bit operating systems
- Active directory scanning
- Improved performance reports consistent with Diskeeper 2010 and Diskeeper Administrator 2010
- Improved help features
- UI and usability improvements
