Vizioncore Solicits ‘P2V2P Best Practices’ Case Studies

Vizioncore Inc. has launched a “Help Define P2V2P Best Practices” promotion in conjunction with the general availability of its vConverter product. The promotion seeks out VAR and end-user participation, offering cash prizes and a trip to VMWorld 2010.
The “Help Define P2V2P Best Practices” promotion for s
ystem administrators and VARs is one in which participants can contribute to a “Best Practices Wiki” that will aggregate in-the-field stories about using vConverter to assist in managing physical system and virtual machines in VMware, Hyper-V, and mixed platform deployments. Participants can also attend live webinars and respond to surveys for which all respondents will be entered into prize drawing for three Apple iPads.
The promotion is open now, and it runs through Aug. 13. Award winners will be announced Aug. 25. Vizioncore will recognize winners during a dinner at VMWorld 2010 in San Francisco, held Aug. 30-Sept. 2.
The grand prize will be awarded for the “Overall Most Insightful Leadership Contribution” to the Best Practices Wiki. The grand prize trip to VMWorld 2010 includes airfare, hotel, and a $500 stipend. If the winner has already booked airfare and hotel reservations that cannot be cancelled, Vizioncore says the winner may be reimbursed up to a certain amount.
Contributors are also eligible to win four $1,000 prizes to be voted on by promotion participants in the following categories:
- Most Valued Contributor–For the use case study most likely to save time for system administrators
- Most Useful Contributor–For the use case study most likely to be used by system administrators
- Most Transformational Contributor–For the use case study most likely to make the largest change in systems and data management
- Most Popular Contributor–For the contributor elected by other Best Practices WIKI contributors.††††††† †††††††††††
