Symform Announces Zero Cost Promo for StorageCraft Resellers
The promotion enables StorageCraft VARs to more their clients’ data to the Symform Cooperative Storage Cloud at no additional cost for six months.
Symform, which created the Symform Cooperative Storage Cloud, has announced the “StorageCraft Symform Zero Cost Online Storage” promotion, enabling StorageCraft resellers to move client data to the Symform cloud offering at no additional cost for six months.
“We understand that due to this tough economy, it’s very difficult for managed service providers to offer new solutions to clients, even if it’s a necessary solution to protect their precious data,” says Kevin Brown, vice president of sales and marketing at Symform. “Small businesses are simply reluctant to try new technology. With this offer there are no excuses regarding the protection of client data.”
To take advantage of this offer, MSPs need to install a new Symform node at a client location and then provide Symform with proof of a ShadowProtect license for that system. There is no limit on the number of free nodes an MSP can receive.
ShadowProtect is a solution for creating image-based backups, “but what you do with those backups to move them off site is extremely important,” says Brown. “Many MSPs will implement error-prone tape rotations or use expensive online backup services that charge per-GB fees. The Symform cloud-based backup solution allows them to trade inexpensive local storage for valuable online storage in the Symform Cooperative Storage Cloud.”
Symform is also offering a free ShadowProtect-Symform white paper, a “Using ShadowProtect with Symform” training video, and unlimited free one-on-one consulting with a Symform engineer, including designing a customized backup strategy and schedule for each and every client, if necessary.
