SysAid Develops IT Helpdesk App for Smart Phones
The service management company has introduced mobile versions its IT management tool. Now, remote helpdesk professionals can access and control service-related information via iPhone, BlackBerry, or Android.
IT service management provider SysAid Technologies Ltd. launched its new Android IT Helpdesk Application this week. The launch follows the company’s launch of applications for BlackBerry and iPhone. The free Android app is available for download in the Android Market.
Thousands of SysAid customers use iPhone, Blackberry, or Android. For that reason, the company created mobile helpdesk applications for each platform. The SysAid mobile application facilitates accessibility and control over service requests, including viewing, prioritizing, filtering, updating, and customizing requests. Users can also view and manage hardware, software, and manufacturer details of computers, printers, and other IT assets.
According to SysAid CEO Israel Lifshitz, mobile communications means that business should never have to stop. For that to happen, he says, communications have to remain reliable. “Companies need to know that they can rely on their IT management at all times,” he says. “As we have seen with our applications for iPhone and Blackberry, mobility allows IT management teams to enjoy maximum efficiency, translating into greater productivity.”
The Android IT Helpdesk App is free of charge and is compatible with SysAid IT 7.0.05, the latest version of SysAid’s IT Service Management software.
