KineticD Products Add iPhone and iPad Support
KineticSecure and KineticExtend service now include iPhone and iPad apps. The apps are free of charge for SMBs with an active KineticD account.
Cloud-based storage and recovery service provider KineticD announced this week that its KineticSecure and KineticExtend services now include iPhone and iPad apps. SMBs can now access data files and applications securely from any location using the popular iPhone and iPad mobile devices.
According to KineticD, support for the mobile Apple products was developed to provide “quick and secure access to a users’ PC or Windows server.”
In addition to enabling users to restore and share files in their cloud storage, the KineticExtend service also provides access to a remote system, such as an office-based PC, with Windows authentication. “Accountants, medical and legal professionals, service providers and consultants use the service daily to access critical business data and specialized applications, such as QuickBooks, †without the complication or cost of a VPN,” states KineticD in a press release submitted to EH Publishing.
“While it’s cool to access your office PC on the iPhone,” says KineticD CEO Jamie Brenzel, “KineticExtend elevates the iPad from a surfing gadget to a justified business productivity tool. The new iPad App puts the full power of your office PC or server into your hands wherever your business takes you.”
The iPhone App for KineticExtend is available immediately. It is free of charge when accompanying an active account with KineticD. A free trial is available for download from the online iTunes store.†
