Appcelerator and FortiusOne Roll Out the Titanium? Platform

Titanium? enables analysis of geo-tagged data from mobile devices, social media services, and company data streams for location-based campaigns.

Appcelerator and FortiusOne have joined forces to launch a location-based analytics platform for mobile applications.

Appcelerator offers a platform for developing native mobile, desktop, and iPad applications using Web technologies. FortiusOne is a location analysis software provider. Together, the two companies have created the new Titanium? platform.

Titanium? enables SMBs to visualize real-time, geo-tagged data from mobile devices, social media services, and company data streams. Critical information relating to a company’s location-based campaigns can be analyzed, along with demographic trends, purchasing habits, and geo-social behaviors.

Appcelerator’s Titanium? utilizes the core location analytics driving FortiusOne’s GeoIQ platform and extends its capability to capture, analyze, and visualize real-time data from mobile devices and social media services. This data management, visualization, and analysis platform enables intuitive exploration, sharing, and collaboration around geo-tagged data.

Titanium? combines internal data (such as coupons, customer databases, and location information), with external data (such as Twitter, demographic, and competitive information) to create actionable data (such as running a promotion, selling advertising, or opening a new location).

“Our developers are creating apps that place a premium on knowing where the user is and what they’re doing,” explains Appclerator CEO Jeff Haynie. “Now with Titanium?, we’ve lowered the barrier to entry for both developing mobile applications and analyzing the results. Developers can better target offers, cross-sell products and understand the geo-social context of their applications.”

“This partnership unites two leading technologies from the mobile and analytics markets,” adds FortiusOne CEO Frank Moyer. “It leverages GeoIQ, used by US intelligence agencies, to create the first enterprise-grade mobile analytics solution.”

In the video below, a San Francisco-based Pizzaland describes its use of the new Titanium? platform in determining the return on investment for its mobile device coupon campaign.
