Cabinet NG Releases Version 6.5 of Its CNG-WEB and CNG-SAFE Products
The latest iteration of the two document management tools is designed to “simplify the process” via such add-ons as quick search and full text search.
Document management innovator Cabinet NG announced a new version of its CNG-WEB and CNG-SAFE products this week. Version 6.5 of each of the two models was shown for the first time Oct. 21 at the Collaborate Conference in Huntsville, Ala.
CNG-WEB enables scanning documents via the browser and creating folders. Documents can be scanned directly to the complementing product, CNG-SAFE. CNG-SAFE is a “shared access filing environment,” which enables SMBs to automate much of their workflow.
With CNG-WEB, users have multiple methods for locating documents.†According to Cabinet NG, CNG-WEB’s new characteristics enable a choice on the part of SMBs. “In many cases a click-through structural search of Repository, Cabinet, and Folder is the most efficient, and other times, CNG-WEB’s new Quick Search and Full text search features are the best choice,” says the company in a statement submitted to Channel Pro-SMB.
Cabinet NG’s president Andrew Bailey believes the new version of CNG-WEB will further simplify the process of working with documents via a browser. “Today’s businesses enjoy the flexibility of being able to work with all their documents stored in the central repository directly through a browser and/or client interface,” he says.
