eBeam Edge Brings Whiteboards Into the Digital Age
Luidia’s new eBeam Edge models turn whiteboard data into content for sharing and streaming, enabling storage and remote viewing.
Luidia Inc. rolled out a new line of capture products last week. The products were designed to help government and academic institutions (as well as SMBs) “better communicate and collaborate visually,” according to the company.
The new Luidia eBeam Edge enable SMBs to share, stream, and interact with whiteboard data, including drawings, brainstorming notes, and more.
With “no lag time between pen and pixel,” according to Luidia, the eBeam Edge transforms whiteboards and walls into interactive surfaces.
“Some of the greatest business ideas often start on a whiteboard,” says Luidia CEO Rafi Holtzman. “All too often, meeting participants are distracted by cell phones and laptops. Now, PowerPoint presentations, diagrams, and other content can be interactively altered live.”
The new Luidia eBeam Edge products include:
- eBeam Edge–Designed for the mobile workforce, the eBeam Edge is portable. The eBeam Edge receiver mounts on walls, whiteboards, and flat surfaces and weighs less than five ounces. A free meeting sharing feature enables projected content to be broadcast, saved, and sent. It works with a USB cable or Bluetooth to connect to any Windows computer with a projector.
- eBeam Edge Whiteboard–Everything written in marker on a whiteboard can be saved, shared with global colleagues and also altered after a meeting. The system uses an eBeam Edge receiver and marker sleeves that fit over dry erase markers.
- eBeam Edge Complete–This system combines an eBeam Edge, an interactive stylus, and marker sleeves to enable both marker-based and interactive capture. Content devised with markers on eBeam Edge Whiteboard can be integrated with the interactive content that is being projected.
The eBeam Edge weighs less than 4 ounces, and measures less than 8 inches. It’s smaller than a regular whiteboard marker, and it includes a three-button stylus with left- and right-click instant access to eBeam software tools.
