The PowerLite X9 project was designed as a bright, quality solution for small- to medium-sized classes with an entry-level price point.
The big announcement last week from Epson America Inc. was the release of the PowerLite X9 projector for education environments. Offering 2,500 lumens of color and white light output as well as XGA resolution, the projector is ideal for classrooms and small- to medium-sized conference rooms.
In addition to its features, Epson has also geared its price tag for the education vertical. With a MSRP of $599, the projector is attainable even by those schools with shrunken technology budgets.
“There is still a need for advanced and reliable technology in the classroom,” says Sara Kim, Epson’s product manager. “The PowerLite X9 provides classrooms with brightness, sharp image quality, and convenient connectivity that won’t break the bank.”

The Epson PowerLite X9 will be available in April 2011 through national resellers, pro audio/visual dealers, mail order, and distribution. Epson’s PowerLite projectors come with a two-year limited warranty (three years for Brighter Futures customers).
