At the HP Americas Partner Conference (APC), HP’s CEO Leo Apotheker outlined HP’s strategic vision for how cloud and mobility will translate into new channel opportunities, along with major announcements that will affect HP channel partners. New announcements include benefits and rewards in the mobility market, the HP SMB Central community network, and PartnerONE program enhancements.
In terms of mobility, HP announced rewards for partners selling the webOS product line. This $26.4 billion industry is ripe for the picking, and HP partners will be able to sell these products with new PartnerONE benefits, including market development funds, volume programs, big deal registration, and practice development. In November, HP will introduce an Elite program that integrates the webOS product line, helping train partners and provide resources so that HP partners can deliver into the market.
HP SMB Central, launched earlier this month to help partners tap into the $71 billion market, is an initiative offering channel partners one-stop access to SMB sales marketing and support. Today, it was announced that HP SMB Central is also offering an online community network for partners to network, collaborate, and share best practices for growth within the SMB market. The community network also provides real-time collaboration and enables an ongoing dialogue with peers and industry experts.
For those attending APC, expect to hear from HP executives such as:
- Ann Livermore, executive vice president of enterprise business
- Todd Bradley, executive vice president of personal systems
- Vyomesh Joshi, executive vice president of imaging and printing
