The SR42UBEIS is a heavy-duty 42U industrial rack enclosure with NEMA 12 protection rating and Zone 4 seismic rating.
Power protection company Tripp Lite has introduced to the channel a heavy-duty 42U SmartRack Industrial Rack Enclosure with a NEMA 12 protection rating and Zone 4 seismic rating.
The enclosure (Model SR42UBEIS) is designed to protect equipment from harmful
environmental conditions, including falling dirt, dust, drips, and splashes. It is ideal for use in factories, construction areas, utility plants, warehouses, and other areas high in moisture and debris.
“This rack enclosure is ideal for SMB customers who need to protect sensitive electronic equipment in harsh working environments that would overwhelm a typical rack,” explains Tripp Lite product manager Craig Watkins.
The SR42UBEIS Industrial SmartRack Enclosure sports a NEMA 12 protection rating, which is equivalent to IP54.
The front and rear doors have ventilating louvers instead of open mesh. They also have a sealing gasket around the door frames. On the front door there are built-in, removable dust filters. To compensate for the added air resistance of the filters, there are 12 large, fans to the rear door. The fans pull air through the enclosure, from front to rear.
The roof of the enclosure is sealed with a cap that keeps drips and falling dirt from getting inside the enclosure. Since the doors and top are sealed, cable access is provided through six self-sealing cable ports (four in the roof, and two below the rear door).
The heavy-duty steel frame supports up to 3,000 pounds. The large-diameter industrial casters also support up to 3,000 pounds, which means the enclosure can be moved fully loaded.
