Quosal 2012 adds Visual Quoting and integration with Avalara’sAvaTax Web-based sales tax solutions.
Sales quote and proposal software developer Quosal LLC has released the 2012 version of its flagship product. Quosal 2012 adds new features that include Quosal’s Visual Quoting and integration with Avalara’sAvaTax Web-based sales tax solutions.
“Quosal 2012 is a milestone release of our product,” says Quosal president and CEO Kent McNall. “It expands our platform into new territories, including Mobile Quoting and Visual Quoting. “We’re stretching our lead across all fronts, especially innovation with the introduction of Visual Quoting.”
VISUAL QUOTING
Visual Quoting enables images to be converted to a format that can be imported to the Quosal application so that customer quotes and proposals can be prepared by clicking on designated areas within the image.
According to McNall the Visual Quoting capabilities of Quosal 2012 will not only† make it easier to create quotes and proposals, but also actually make the preparation of the quote a part of the presentation to the customer.
“Visual Quotes are compatible with the 2012 version of our Mobile platform for the iPad, which means you’ll soon be able to use the iPad to visually create quotes and proposals visually, from the simplest to the most sophisticated, in minutes on your iPad.”
AVATAX INTEGRATION
Another major build-out of the Quosal platform is the new integration with Avalara’sAvaTax Web-based sales tax solutions. The Quosal platform will use these tools for real-time sales tax jurisdiction assignment and tax calculation. AvaTax also works with Quosal’s online quote delivery system, Order Porter.
The AvaTax integration is a premium service and requires an AvaTax subscription. According to Stephen Yu, Quosal’s vice president and CTO, it will ease the burden of SMBs that struggle to charge the proper sales tax for their interstate quotes. “It’s a lot of work, ” he says, “and SMBs only know they’ve done it right when they make it through an audit without incurring penalties. Quosal and AvaTax solve the problem by determining the correct sales tax to charge for every jurisdiction.”
In addition to these lead changes, Quosal also announced key extensions to its integration solution for ConnectWise. The company cites “long-awaited API extensions” as being expanded to include Microsoft CRM and Dynamics, Autotask, and salesforce.com.
