The storage systems can now be paired with the popular information management software for handling large amounts of data.
Disk-based storage systems provider Nexsan has announced certification of its E-Series storage systems with data and information management software CommVault Simpana 9.
E-Series storage systems are designed to provide simple, centralized storage with a robust software element for simple deployment, management, and support. The in-tandem CommVault Simpana 9/E-Series solution manages data according to Nexsan, through an integrated blend of replication and copies that are secure, deduplicated, managed, and accessible via a single, unified platform.
Pairing the data software with Nexsan’s storage “helps businesses manage increasingly larger amounts of data for compliant, high-performance data protection, archiving, and storage management,” Nexsan states in a press release submitted to Channel Pro-SMB. “Nexsan storage systems are the ideal complement to our powerful software,” says Craig Halliwell, CommVault’s director of alliances. “With this strategic offering, IT professionals receive the best of all worlds.”
Key features of pairing include:
- E-Series system support of SSD/SAS/SATA drives for 10 GbE connectivity.
- Two RAID engines per controller for fast sequential and random I/O performance.
- Up to 54 TB in 2U via the Nexsan E18 (with options for expansion via the E60).
- VMware, Hyper-V, and Xen certified E-Storage solutions.
E-Series storage systems with CommVault Simpana 9 are priced based according to configuration. Pricing is available immediately through joint solution providers.
