The 10.1-inch Windows†and Google Android dual OS tablet is now recognized by Citrix Systems Inc. as being compatible with Citrix Receiver.
It was announced by ViewSonic Corp.†this month that the company’s ViewPad 10pro has been verified as Citrix Ready. The Citrix Ready program is designed to enable SMB customers identify third-party solutions that are recommended to enhance virtualization, networking, and cloud computing solutions from Citrix Systems Inc.

Powered by an Intel†1.5GHz Atom processor Z670, the ViewPad 10pro offers a thin product design that minimizes power consumption. The Windows 7 operating system enables SMBs to access office applications and documents on a high-performance mobile device. Android 2.3 runs as an application on top of the Windows 7 operating system, offering a switch between business productivity and entertainment.
The ViewPad 10pro features a 1024×600 capacitive multi-touch panel, 1.3 megapixel front camera, Full HD 1080p, an HDMI connection for video playback and content sharing, 2 GB of integrated memory, and up to eight hours of battery life
The Citrix Ready ViewPad 10pro is currently available in two configurations:
- Windows 7 Professional (with a 32 GB SSD hard drive) and Android 2.3 — Carries an estimated retail price of $699
- Windows 7 Home Premium (with a 16 GB SSD hard drive) and Android 2.3 — Carries an estimated retail price of $599
