The 1866 MHz Dominator kit includes 8 GB DDR3 DRAM modules and Corsair’s patented DHX heatsinks.
Components manufacturer Corsair has broadened its Dominator line by adding what it calls “the first high-performance quad-channel 32 GB memory kit.” Indeed, the 1866 MHz Dominator kit works with dual- and quad-channel motherboards.
The Dominator 32 GB Quad Channel kit (Part #MT32GX3M4X1866C9) includes four 8 GB DDR3 DRAM modules and Corsair’s patented DHX heatsinks. It operates at 1.5V and is designed to run at 1866 MHz, with 9-10-9-27 C9 timing.
In a press release submitted to Channel Pro-SMB, Corsair reports that it has tested compatibility of the module with forthcoming quad channel platforms as well as current dual channel platforms.
Thi La, Corsair’s vice president of memory products, says the memory kit was designed for system builders and PC enthusiasts using the latest motherboards. La says the product aims to satisfy all system builders “whether they’re overclockers, gamers, or simply want a large amount of state-of-the-art memory.”
The Dominator 32 GB Quad Channel kit is available this month through authorized Corsair resellers. The kit carries a MSRP of $999.
