OS33, an IT service delivery platform provider, has launched OS33 Cloud Drive, which creates a unified file system by bringing together storage from different private and public cloud technologies. OS33’s Webtop with Cloud Drive allows end-users to access their files from any device, across cloud-based and local applications.
The OS33 Cloud Drive unifies the storage capabilities of Amazon Simple Storage, SharePoint 2010 Doclibs for ECM, and Microsoft Windows on NTFS and DFS. MSPs can now deploy and sell a unified cloud-based storage solution, allowing customers to take advantage of top cloud technologies without the complexities of adopting multiple vendors’ services. OS33 Cloud Drive enables users to move data and files across various storage platforms through a unified interface.
OS33 Cloud Drive also allows users to use Microsoft Office hosted in the data center or locally, and use Office Web Apps in the browser with any type of storage. For legacy applications that don’t support cloud storage, OS33 has added a Drop to Amazon folder, which will automatically synchronize legacy application data with Amazon S3.
