Emerson Network Power, an infrastructure provider, has released the newest version of its Avocent Data Center Planner. Available worldwide now, this software enables data center managers to plan and manage their data center assets and physical infrastructure.
Avocent Data Center Planner provides accurate and detailed information about devices and equipment, as well as current capacities and projected growth. This kind of visibility allows data center managers to manage their consolidation, virtualization, and energy efficiency strategies.
New features include:
- The ability to gauge real-world power usage
- Out-of-the-box support for Avocent PDUs, Liebert PDUs, Avocent DSView 4, and Liebert SiteScan Web
- End-to-end connection visualization for accurate views of the data center, as well as dynamic planning
- Zone management for the operation of co-location/cloud environments
- Spanish language support
