Cloud services provider dinCloud has expanded its hosted virtual desktop service to provide SMBs with self-managed features and a range of budgetary parameters.
dinHVD is a hosted virtual desktop that provides a complete turnkey suite of services for complete PC fleet management. The solution offers a variety of service levels and customization.
A virtual desktop behaves like a traditional computer but the operating system, applications, and data reside in the data center as opposed to the local device. This enables simplified maintenance and support, centralized management, improved uptime, and high performance benefits.
Based on dinStack, a coalition of leading technology companies focused on delivering a high performance desktop virtualization, dinHVD gives control, security, and productivity within a subscription based model. According to dinCloud chief strategy officer Saad Shahzad, this provides SMBs and channel pros “monthly rates as little as $1 per desktop per day.”
Additionally, dinHVD provides users with access to such mobile devices as Apple iPad, Android devices, Apple Macs, and Microsoft Windows computers. In addition, dinCloud’s team of licensing specialists ensure software roll-outs that comply with the requirements of cloud-based software deployments.
