Security innovator LogRhythm and cloud information security provider Qualys Inc. have announced a partnership. LogRhythm’s SIEM 2.0 platform now integrates fully with the QualysGuard Vulnerability Management solution.
The integration of QualysGuard’s vulnerability data with SIEM 2.0’s network security event information is meant to provide SMBs with deeper insight and improved situational awareness for better protection against cyber threats.
The integration provides:
- QualysGuard VM — This feed identifies and catalogs assets, and it “discovers” vulnerabilities at the scale of customers’ organizations.
- Alarm Capabilities — Users can be notified when imported vulnerabilities match preset thresholds.
- Event Prioritization Resources — Normalized QualysGuard vulnerability data that can be used in LogRhythm’s SIEM 2.0 correlation engine to help users prioritize events
“To enable business growth, IT must deploy, maintain and secure heterogeneous environments that may reside across different locations and networks,” the two companies state in a joint press release submitted to Channel Pro-SMB. “With this partnership, LogRhythm leverages QualysGuard’s open platform and robust set of APIs to provide customers with real-time vulnerability intelligence feeds along with its event and log information, providing SMBs with a more effective, holistic IT security approach to protect against threats and vulnerabilities.”
“We’re very pleased to be working with Qualys to provide our customers with reliable vulnerability data to help them protect against the latest cyber threats,” adds Matt Winter, LogRhythm’s vice president of corporate and business development.
For its part, Qualys says it, too, looks forward to the partnership. “With this integration, customers can review aggregated vulnerability and event log data for more visibility and better management of IT security against possible threats,” says Qualys chairman and CEO Philippe Courtot.
