Network monitoring and management software developer Tone Software Corp. has announced cloud-based management service offerings of its ReliaTel VoIP and UC Service Assurance solutions.
The ReliaTel Cloud-Based Management Service provides managed services providers (MSPs) and small- to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) with technology solutions for managing VoIP QoS, network performance, and UC service levels “without the burden of funding, deploying, and maintaining a premise-based business-critical software application,” says Tone Software in a press release submitted to Channel Pro-SMB.
The new ReliaTel cloud-based service aims to reduce financial and human resource investments otherwise necessary in the undertaking of converged communications management. “Unlike traditional premise installed software tools and systems, the ReliaTel Cloud service lessens the ongoing support, administration, and maintenance burden placed on IT and voice engineering teams,” states the Tone Software press release.
Moreover, the ReliaTel cloud-based offering eliminates the need to purchase host hardware and software licenses that require larger, more difficult to obtain capital budget allocations and justifications.
“Based on the cost efficiencies that the cloud architecture provides, we designed the ReliaTel Cloud-based Management Service to address pressing business and technical challenges facing both Enterprises and MSPs today — namely the alignment of the organization’s IT and financial resources with their business productivity goals and ROI expectations from advanced communications investments,” says Amit Kapoor, Tone’s director of strategic technology.
The ReliaTel Cloud offering includes remote management of faults, QoS, performance, and the network infrastructure as well as trunk and CDR reporting capabilities for many popular platforms and devices (including Avaya, Nortel, Cisco, and Windows). Users access the ReliaTel alarm portal, dashboards, and reporting facilities through the secure Web-based management portal, with full access to alarm handling, performance dashboard analytics, VoIP QoS metrics, and report generation.
