Symantec, a security provider, is offering several new cloud capabilities to MSPs. The Partner Management Console is a tool designed to simplify the management and monitoring of Symantec Endpoint Protection.cloud and Symantec Backup Exec.cloud through a single web-based portal.
Last year, Symantec announced its MSP strategy to work with service providers, and this new console is part of that strategy. Other new features include integrations with Kaseya, LabTech Software, and Level Platforms.
The Symantec Partner Management Console for Symantec.cloud services enables fast customer set-up, provisioning of customer accounts, conversion of trials, and management of subscriptions. Partners can provide customized and branded usage, status, and security reports as well.
The Symantec Endpoint Protection.cloud and Symantec Backup Exec.cloud are available through the ExSP licensing program, a pay-as-you-go model. The Symantec ExSP Licensing Program reduces licensing costs as volume of business increases and requires no uprfront licensing or support costs. Partners enrolled in Symantec’s SMB Specialization program have access to partner-only support.
