IT and electronics manufacturer ViewSonic Corp. has launched three short-throw projectors in its PJD6 Series: PJD6353s, PJD6383s, and PJD6683ws.
The PJD6 Series is designed to make it easy for VARs to equip classrooms with the means for sharing presentations and images in smaller environments, with a high-quality, short-throw optical lens design and contrast ratio of 15,000:1.
The PJD6383s and PJD6683ws are XGA and WXGA native resolution models. Both offer 3000 ANSI lumens of brightness (suitable for a medium- to large-sized classroom or board room). The PJD6353s supports an XGA resolution and 2500 ANSI lumens offering flexibility for small spaces.
All three new models come equipped with Dynamic PC and Dynamic Movie modes, enabling automatic detection and adjustment of lamp brightness according to content. They also feature AMX and Crestron network management support for integration with broader systems. With the embedded Crestron e-Control, for example, VARs servicing academic institutions can remotely monitor and control the projector. With Crestron RoomView Express software and RJ45 connectivity, users can remotely manage up to 250 networked projectors (with real-time monitoring and control status email alerts regarding power, lamp life, and unit presence).
“Our new PJD6 Series projectors are designed to enable educators and SMBs to deliver great presentations in an eco-friendly manner that saves money,” says ViewSonic project manager Roger Chien. “Paired with their short-throw capabilities, network monitoring, management capabilities, and energy efficient features, these 120Hz/3D-Ready projectors cater to a diverse range of classroom needs.”
The PJD6353s, PJD6383s and PJD6683ws will be available in North America in late July 2012 for respective ESPs of $599, $699, and $749. All three projectors come standard with a 3-year limited parts and labor warranty in addition to a 1-year lamp warranty and Express Exchange Service.
