Laplink Software Inc.†is making available a free version of PCmover, its application for PC-to-PC migration that transfers files, settings, and programs from an old PC to a new one. PCmover Free, designed for small businesses, enables the transfer of up to three applications, as well as email, address books, pictures, music, videos, and Internet favorites.
PCmover simplifies the setup of new PCs, since selected for migration is transferred automatically from the old PC to the new PC, with no need to find old CDs, serial numbers, or to re-purchase programs downloaded in the past. Customers needing to transfer domain users or wish to transfer an unlimited number of installed applications can upgrade to PCmover Professional.
