Image industry trade group Buyers Laboratory LLC (BLI) has recognized print innovator OKI Data Americas for its work at reducing energy consumption in business.
BLI gave OKI one of ten Outstanding Achievement Awards for Energy Efficiency for the printer company’s new monochrome multifunction printers (MFPs), the MB461, MB471, and MB491.
The new MFPs were introduced earlier this year. BLI singled the printers out for having energy consumption rates between 55 and 58 percent lower than average.
“Contributing to these MFPs’ low energy consumption rates are their automatic duplexing capabilities, in addition to their toner save mode, above average toner yields, and other useful, energy-saving functions,” OKI states in a press release submitted to ChannelPro-SMB.
“OKI strives to develop products and services that minimize their environmental impact while optimizing workplace performance,” says OKI Data director of marketing Carl Taylor. “We are pleased to receive this honor from BLI, and to be recognized for delivering high-quality, cost-effective and energy-efficient printing solutions to the marketplace.”
