Connectivity developer Laplink Software Inc. has a new version of† PCmover Image & Drive Assistant, a product designed to enable SMBs to restores an old image or hard drive to a new PC.
With the latest release, PCmover Image & Drive Assistant transfers all selected programs, files, and settings from an image or hard drive to a new PC without overwriting, leaving the Windows operating system on the new PC unchanged. Furthermore, applications selected to be restored are automatically installed, “eliminating the need to find previously downloaded applications, CDs, or serial numbers,” according to Laplink press release submitted to ChannelPro-SMB.
“Free Transfer Assistance is a major step forward in customer care,” says Laplink CEO Thomas Koll. “It addresses PC setup challenges not handled directly by PCmover, but which are critical for users to have a successful experience.”
PCmover Image & Drive Assistant now also includes Free Transfer Assistance, a service for SMBs setting up a new PC using PCmover. At no additional charge, PCmover customers may now use Laplink’s Free Transfer Assistance. †
