You decide how far away is too far by customizing the distance that triggers the alarm.
Considering how it can cost hundreds of dollars (and hours in headaches) to replace one of these smartphones, the Proximity Tag’s $39.99 MSRP seems pretty reasonable.
This little gadget is compatible with Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II smartphones, as well as the Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet. If you don’t have any of those devices, it also works to keep tabs on other things you may misplace or leave behind, such as your keys, briefcase, or camera.
