Predixion Software has launched an OEM program aimed at embedding its collaborative predictive analytics solutions into business intelligence and software ecosystems. Predixion Enterprise Insight, the company’s flagship predictive analytics platform, was designed to support the needs of an embedded customer with features such as its Excel-based modeling environment and its one-button “Insight Now” predictions, according to the company.
In conjunction with the OEM program, Predixion has also sponsored a new white paper by James Tayler, CEO of Data Management Solutions, titled, “Becoming Predictive: 5 Steps to Embed Predictive Analytics in Your Software.” The white paper offers recommendations for enterprise software product managers pursuing new ways to leverage and extend their product’s functionality with embedded predictive analytics.
Embedded opportunities for software developers range from entry-level development servers to custom-revenue share models to all-you-can-eat OEM licenses, according to Predixion.
Predixion Enterprise Insight is natively integrated with the Microsoft BI stack, leverages Apache Mahout Algorithm libraries, and is integrated with Microsoft SQL Server, EMC Greenplum, and Hadoop. Predixion says other analytic platforms will be supported in the future. Enterprise Insight’s deployment framework was designed to simplify the process of sharing models across an enterprise, automate predictions directly from source data to line-of-business applications and Predixion’s own thin-client app for PCs and tablets, and eliminate complexity from the end-user experience, resulting in self-service predictive analytics, according to the company.
