Cloud-based business provisioning services provider dinCloud has entered into a distribution agreement with Arrow Electronics Inc. The agreement enables Arrow’s enterprise computing solutions segment (Arrow ECS) to market, sell, and support dinCloud’s hosted virtual desktops, hosted virtual servers, and cloud storage services via its online marketplace.
Under the terms of the agreement, Arrow will also offer the services provider’s webHVD. The webHVD is a clientless Web application powered by HTML 5 inside Google’s Chrome browser. It runs on Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, or Chromebook endpoints and is designed to provide customers with a turnkey desktop, which they can provision and start using in a matter of minutes.
Arrow’s solution provider community can white-label dinCloud’s complete portfolio of cloud-based services, including dinHVD, dinServer and cloud storage for backup and recovery. For Arrow, that’s key.
“We are always looking for strong alliances and relationships, and dinCloud’s channel-friendly model and solutions help us fill a growing gap in the cloud space,” says Jim Livingston, Arrow ECS vice president of North American services.
