CallingID, a safe-browsing software provider based in Israel, has launched MyFacePrivacy, a free social network privacy protection tool.
MyFacePrivacy analyzes a users’ Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter privacy settings and helps them choose, and then implement, a tailored privacy policy that will prevent them from unintentionally exposing private information, posts, photos, and activities to unwanted people and from applications that may use this information inappropriately.
“With over 65 different settings that need to be customized to protect information on Facebook, plus over 20 on LinkedIn and Twitter, keeping information away from unwanted users is more challenging today than it has ever been,” says Yair Nissan, executive vice president of CallingID. “The team at CallingID has built MyFacePrivacy to address this challenge and beta testing has already proven our product to be very effective at helping users better ‘privatize’ their social networking experiences.”
The software can be downloaded from myfaceprivacy.com and includes a built-in parental control feature to ensure that children are not exposed to inappropriate content.
In addition to MyFacePrivacy, CallingID’s suite of safe-browsing solutions includes Link Advisor 2.0, SafeSearch, MultiSearch, and Safe LogIn.
