Atlona has introduced its HDMI to HDBaseT AT-HDTX-WP Transmitter Wall Plate that sends A/V signals and power distances as far as 230 feet over a single cable.
The San Jose, Calif.-based company says it designed its latest wall plate product to provide electronics professionals with a slim and attractive solution that installs into two-gang electrical boxes with features such as HDBaseT and Power Over Category Cable (PoCc).
Atlona says the product is capable of transmitting 1080p as far as 230 feet (70 meters) and 4K up to 130 feet (40 meters). The PoCc enables the wall plate can be powered from either the transmitter or from the receiver to eliminate local power, which can save installers time and their clients money.
Other installer-friendly features include a choice of either RS-232 or bi-directional IR to enable electronics professionals to integrate the wall plates into a variety of third-party control systems.
